S1 Ep2 - Cave Diving in Madagascar with Fabio Amador
To find out what caused the extinction of these magnificent species, like giant lemurs, archeologist and artist Dr. Fabio Amador joined a daring SCUBA diving expedition into a network of flooded caves.
Dr. Amador's use of sophisticated imaging technology-- the same used by NASA to explore the surface of Mars-- helped to document the team's remarkable discovery: a treasure trove of fossil bones that suggest humans may have contributed to the demise of Madagascar's megafauna. Photo by Mathias Appel
